Painting Poppies
Finally after a busy summer I'm trying to set aside some time to paint. My Tuesday evening class started back up and as promised I created a red oriental poppy design on a 12" ceramic tile. An easy surface to work on and I think it would make a great trivet with felt or wooden ball feet glued to the back, or display as an accent piece on a small easel or plate holder.
I've painted this design using a limited palette of Traditions Artist Acrylics... Naphthol AS Hue, Hansa Yellow, Phthalo Blue-Green, Titanium White, and Raw Umber.
